A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25
Living Generously: Fueling the Mission
Generosity is at the heart of following Jesus. Scripture reminds us that where our treasure is, our hearts follow, and everything we have is ultimately a gift from God. we are invited to give cheerfully, intentionally, and faithfully to advance His kingdom.
Jesus said it best: where your treasure is, that’s where your heart follows. We don’t view giving as a stuffy obligation or a guilt trip, it’s an active way to plug into what God is doing right here in George Town and across the globe.
If you call George Town Baptist Church home, partnering with us financially is a tangible way to build our church family and keep our daily ministry running.
Because generosity extends beyond our own walls, a portion of our giving also goes directly toward mission partners locally and globally:
-
Local Care: Chaplaincy in George Town Schools and City Mission
-
Hands-on Service: Mobile Mission Maintenance (MMM)
- Various Baptists Missions
-
Global Outreach: Erik & Natalie’s global house church ministry and Baptist International Missions
-
Free & Joyful: Giving is completely voluntary, pressure-free, and from the heart. When we share what God has put in our hands, good things multiply.
-
Keeping the Lights On: Practical ministry takes practical support. Giving fuels our community gatherings, youth and kids programs, and day-to-day work.
-
Looking Outward: Generosity doesn’t stay inside our walls. We actively back, City Mission, international ministries with Erik & Natalie McKitrick, Mobile Mission Maintenance, and global Baptist work.
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously… for God loves a cheerful giver.”
