What to Expect on Sunday Morning

Our Sunday service runs from 10:00 AM to approximately 11:45 AM. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church home, you’ll find a warm, welcoming community centered on Jesus.

Our Sunday Morning Flow:

  • Kids’ Sunday School (10:00 AM): Running alongside the main service during school terms, our lively Sunday School gives children their own safe, engaging space to learn from the Bible through crafts, stories, and activities. (During school holidays, children join the adults in the main service, with messages kept a little shorter for younger attention spans.)

  • Worship & Prayer: In the main auditorium, our time together begins with prayer and a blend of worship styles, from classic hymns to contemporary songs.

  • Bible-Based Teaching: Pastor Bob shares practical, Scripture-grounded messages that point to God’s grace while encouraging us to live out our faith in daily life.

  • Communion: We share Communion together on the third Sunday of each month, remembering Jesus’ sacrifice. All who trust in Him are welcome to take part.

  • Tea, Coffee & Fellowship: Stick around afterward! Join us in the hall for a hot cuppa, yummy morning tea treats, and friendly conversation.

Home Group Bible Study

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.”  Colossians 3:16

Connect Through Bible Study Groups

Growing in faith isn’t meant to be done alone. Studying the Bible together fosters genuine support, mutual encouragement, and healthy accountability. In our small groups, we discover more of God’s character and learn how to apply biblical truth to everyday life.

Prayer Meeting Group

When: Tuesdays

Prayer is often described as the “breath” of the spiritual life, a vital, rhythmic exchange that sustains the soul just as oxygen sustains the body. Moving beyond a mere ritual or a checklist of requests, prayer is our primary conduit for consistent, intimate communication with God.

When we gather, we lift one another up, seek God’s face, share our burdens, and experience His presence together as one family in Christ.  We pray for the needs of our church but also those churches around us as we share a strong sense of shared purpose. We prayerfully offer support during difficult time and we pray spiritual growth and healing for all of us.We are often graced with the presence of Andrew Parkes, from the Salvation Army.  He is a great blessing.

Scripture Encouragement:

“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jer 29:12-13

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18: 19-20

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Opportunities to Give | Gifts for Those in Need

Non-perishable groceries and basic food items are collected and those not used by our church are donated to The Salvation Army.

Sunday School

Children are our Honoured Guests

Jesus welcomed children with open arms, and so do we!

At GTBC, kids aren’t just the future of the church, they are a vital and cherished part of our family today.

Visiting a new church with children in tow can sometimes feel daunting, so we want you to know upfront: your kids are truly our honoured guests. We love the energy, curiosity, and joy that children bring into our church community.

Our lively Sunday School runs alongside our morning service, providing a joyful, safe space for kids to explore the Bible, build friendships, and have fun. With hands-on crafts, interactive storytelling, and plenty of room to play.

Whether your family has been walking through our doors for years or this Sunday is your very first visit, your children will be received with open arms, genuine warmth, and a lot of fun.

Visitors are always welcome, pop in this Sunday and let your kids join in the fun!

Selah: An Intentional Pause in Your Week

When: Thursday 12:30pm to 2:30pm

After running for many years and taking a well-deserved break over the past two years, our much-loved craft group is returning, refreshed and renamed Selah.

Selah is designed as an intentional pause in your week to relax, get creative, and enjoy unhurried fellowship.

Whether you are looking for a break or a creative outlet, you belong here:

  • Parents & Caregivers: A welcoming space to catch your breath and take a well-deserved moment for yourself.

  • Avid Makers: Bring along your knitting, crochet, painting, sewing, or scrapbooking, and work on your project in great company.

  • Chatters & Coffee Lovers: Don’t craft? No problem at all! You are warmly invited to just sit, enjoy a hot drink, and chat while others create.

All crafts,  all people are welcome!

What to Expect

  • What does “Selah” mean? In ancient texts, “Selah” is an intentional pause, a moment to reflect, catch your breath, and appreciate what is before you. That is exactly the atmosphere we want to create for your week.
  • Do I need to be experienced? Not at all! Beginners and seasoned artisans alike are welcome. We love sharing skills and learning from one another.
  • What should I bring? Bring whatever craft you are currently working on (if you have one), a friend, and a $2 donation.

Ainslie Service: Be the Hands and Feet of Jesus

When: 3rd Wednesday of every month

Ministry to the elderly is often where the most profound spiritual connections happen. It is a sacred space that provides deep comfort to the residents and invaluable, heart-shaping experience for those who serve. Sometimes, just 45 minutes of your time can become the absolute highlight of a resident’s entire week.

Why We Serve

Scripture reminds us of the immense value God places on our elders, and the joy found in serving them:

  •  “Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:32 
  • “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40

You don’t need a theological degree or a special title to make a difference, you just need a heart willing to love. Come with us, share a smile, offer a listening ear, and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who paved the way before us.

Shared Church Lunch 

When: 3rd Sunday of the Month

Stick around after the morning service on the third Sunday of each month for our shared church lunch! It is always a wonderful time to slow down, enjoy great food, and share unhurried conversation together.

Please bring along a savoury or sweet plate of something delicious to share.

If you are a Visitors: You are our honoured guests! Please do not bring a thing, simply come, relax, and let us serve you a meal.
